The extravagant church of Arandas

Dear Reader,

Having lived in the city where the Vatican is I became accustomed to its Catholic extravagance. However, Mexico holds many churches that can impress you their own glitter and colours.

It was when Travel Buddy and I drove towards Guanajuato that we stopped in the town called Arandas, in Altos de Jalisco. The town itself wasn’t very interesting, and indeed very small. But the church was rather unique. I have never seen a more elegant and fancy church…

    • Thank you 🙂 this is the most impressive church I’ve seen in Mexico so far, not because of the architecture but because of the inside design and the amount of detail. Never seen anything like this before.
